The 7th annual Bristol Radical History Festival was held on the 26th April at the M-Shed that the Trades Council was happy to attend.
This years’ themes were the Radical History of Housing, Hidden Stories of Incarceration and the links between Ireland and Bristol. The housing theme in particular focused on topics that we frequently discuss in our monthly meetings – namely the problem of high rent and the lack of acceptable social housing.
There are rumours that one of the themes at the Bristol Radical History Festival next year just might be related to the centenary of the 1926 General Strike and how it played out in Bristol – watch this space.
