Firefighters in England have announced another escalation in their dispute over pensions with a  24 hour strike on 9th December. This follows a refusal from the Department for Communities and Local Government ( DCLG ) to bring any new offer to the table over pensions.

The strike will begin at 09:00 on 9th December 2014 until 09:00 on 10th December 2014. It will then be followed by indefinite industrial action short of a strike.
